I wanted the rings.
I got the Games.

I’m Lucy, I’m 17 - a teen athlete from Cambridge, UK. I got into CrossFit because girls weren’t allowed on the rings in our gymnastics class, which felt deeply unfair.

In 2023 I tried a CrossFit class with my dad and was hooked. From my first Open ranking at 321, I climbed to 15th in the semis in just three seasons. After the semis in 2025 I made the transition from doing CrossFit as a hobby to training full time. When I’m not working out I work as a stable hand, have a small horse-care business, and I’m vegetarian.

Qualifying is an online funnel: Open, Quarterfinal, then Semifinal, each round a smaller, already-filtered field. The Semifinal is the one that booked my seat in San Jose. The climb below is the long version of the story.

Back me now.

I’m internationally qualified at 17, and the numbers are still bending the right way. There’s a steep climb ahead and room for a small number of partners on it.

I want a conversation with a small number of partners who are genuinely interested in the climb, and who want to be part of it. I’m looking for kit and apparel support, vegetarian fuel, and help with the cost of competing internationally. If that’s you, let’s talk.
